Lifetime Health Diary™ is a product of in-depth research, observation, analysis and inspiration by the inventor Dr. Atsushi Matsunaga, physician and owner of the 700-year-old Ohkita Medical Clinic, situated in Osaka, Japan. Co-Founder is Hamish MacDonald, a New Zealand entrepreneur, who spent countless hours at Ohkita Medical Clinic, analyzing patient and clinic work flow, doctor’s responsibilities and recognized the limitations of existing Electronic Health Record solutions.

Based in Dunedin, New Zealand, Lifetime Health Diary Ltd (NZ) was established in February, 2010, to build out the concept envisaged by Dr. Matsunaga and extend it internationally.

Our mission at Lifetime Health Diary™ is to enable and engage people in their health, facilitate communication between patients and caregiver, make health more accessible, including 5 billion plus who have little or no access at all, and improve overall healthcare system.

What are we trying to do?

We want to radically disrupt the way healthcare information is collected, owned, used and disseminated.  If you change the information flow of an industry you change its power structure, and we want to provide a patient-centric tool.  This will join together disparate and historically heuristics-based and reductionist medical data silos to be re-oriented around the patient.  More importantly, it should be viewed through the lens of the patient as a holistic entity.

And along the way we will also provide medical professionals with better and more complete clinical stories about their patients in the process.
